It is locked and won't open either via central locking or using the key directly in the passenger door. the locking pin pops up about half way then goes down again. brute force on the locking pin doesn't help either.. Driver door won't open and lock properly. i had this on a t5 i used to own and fixed it with a vw assist guy and my soldering skills. vw had it logged as a fault that had occurred on other vehicles and digging up the carpet / mat under the drivers seat revealed damp and a selection of corroded copper wires. not a great thing to happen. Passenger door won't open from the inside. just picked up the t6 van yesterday new jun last year very pleased with it except the passenger door wont open from the inside checked child lock and there isn't one on the front it opens and locks from the outside fine i have contacted the garage and she's asking her tech department i haven't.

Passenger door lock problem: post reply : page 1 2 > author: message topic search topic options. having a bit of trouble with my t5 passenger door lock. even when the lock is in the locked position and won't open, if you look at the pin whilst pressing the open button on the key you can see it trying to move.. T5 passenger door does not unlock. there is of course no independant key operated lock on the passenger door. worse still, the door needs to be opened in order to open the fuel flap..
