Maybe one of our electronic gurus here can list proper wire for rewiring a guitar? guage, type, insulation & shielding (or lack thereof), etc for different locations like switch, ground, jack, etc i realize there may be many variables so let's say this is for a les paul i used to know this and bought a bunch of wire, but now i'm getting low and i can't remember the specs!!! :smack:. Strat wiring gauge. Does size really matter too much? for example, i hear of guys using 26 gauge for wiring, and sometimes 20 but any thicker than that, would it be doable? i ask, because the thinnest wire i have access to easily is 14 gauge (i'll just ransack a relative's garage on sunday).
